About the Founder
“Sabot” (sometimes informally “Sabut”) is a Filipino word that means understanding - not just in the sense of knowing something, but truly getting it, with intent.
I chose the name Sabut because it reflects how I approach compliance: with patience, practicality, and the goal of helping companies understand rules, and not just blindly comply.
About Me
My name is Danielle Maglente, and my roots are from the Visayas region in the Philippines. I grew up surrounded by people who valued hard work, humility, and helping others find their way - values that have shaped how I lead and how I serve.
Professionally, I am an attorney who has spent most of my legal career as a team of one, building compliance programs from the ground up and navigating various frameworks that include ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and HIPAA. I know what it’s like to walk into a new company and have to learn, build, and prove everything to external auditors from day 2.
That’s why I started Sabut - to make compliance feel doable for small businesses with big compliance goals. You can find our service offerings on the Services page.
